About Us

NSR Alloy Solutions have been based at Opua in the Bay of Islands for many years.  In this time we have built up a diverse range of products including both commercial and recreational vessels and trailers.

Over the past few years we have branched out into the design and construction of high quality, custom aluminium boats.  We have designed and built custom aluminium vessels for the Department of Conservation, Northland Regional Council and Royal New Zealand Navy.  We also build private boats and have recently launched a 14 meter power catamaran, with a 15 meter power cat in process.

NSR Alloy Solutions don’t just build boats, we repair, renovate and upgrade them as well.  We look after welding and fabrication for two of the companies that operate the dolphin watching and tour boats in the Bay of Islands.

NSR Alloy Solutions are known as the boat builder to go to for designs that are innovative and functional. High performance commercial and recreational aluminium boats.

Our Design Office, Coast Design is operated by Alan Walker, our in house Naval Architect.  He can design catamarans, mono hulls, barges and houseboats.  He has designed them all.
